When it comes to leisure time, if there's one thing that's definitely lacking in our region - it's boredom!!

That's because no matter what you like to do on your days off, there are an endless amount of recreational activities that provide fun, excitement and relaxation all year long.

If golf's your game, you can always hit the greens at the Berwick Golf Club, the International Golf School and Willow Run Inn & Golf Club.

Of course, summer doesn't last forever... which is just fine for all those who love to ski, snowboard and snowmobile!

Nearby mountains offer some of the most popular skiing in the American Northeast! In fact, close to 200,000 people every year flock to the Montage Mountain Ski/Summer Resort, which is consistently ranked by Snow Country Magazine as one of the best snowmaking resorts in the Mid-Atlantic region.

State Game Lands

The Greater Berwick Area also lays claim to 19,255 acres of State Game Lands that are managed and maintained by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. This beautiful country makes for exciting hunting but also offers boating, fishing, hiking, bird watching and nature study. During the winter, snowmobiles can be operated in designated areas.

Susquehanna Riverlands

Maintained by PPL Electric Utilities, the Susquehanna Riverlands are located just north of Berwick and include 1,200 acres that run along the Susquehanna River. This scenic retreat provides nature lovers of all types with a fantastic venue for hiking, picnicking, boating, fishing, wildlife viewing or simply enjoying the sun and fresh air.

Outdoor Amusement

The whole family can also enjoy endless fun at Knoebels Amusement Park, which is a mere 28 miles away. This 75 year-old park has been thrilling patrons for generations and was named the 2nd best amusement park in the country by Amusement Today Magazine.

Residents can also enjoy outdoor activities at Briar Creek Lake and Ber-Vaughn Park in Berwick.
